Probus Club of Berowra Inc.

Aims:

Our purpose is to advance intellectual and cultural interests among adult persons who have retired or are semi-retired from their former occupations. We hold regular meetings and arrange activities to provide opportunities for the growth of friendship and for social interaction. We are non-political and non-sectarian and are not a fund-raising body.

We began as a male Probus club, but this year voted overwhelmingly to change into a Mixed Probus club. Each month members, and also the spouses of former members, socialize at morning tea and for the hour or so given over to the presentation by the Guest Speaker. Similarly, groups that form themselves for club activities - such as Excursions - are made up of both sexes. We have many records of these happy occasions.

Location:

The club currently meets at 10.00 am at the Uniting Church hall on the first Thursday of each month. Committee meetings are currently held at 9.00 am on the first Thursday of each month at this venue, prior to the general meeting.

The annual general meeting of the club takes place on the first Thursday of March of each year.
